Bogd Khan Mountain, Ulaanbaatar (June 12, 2016) – ASEM local youth volunteers not only work hard, but also they know how to have fun! It was 8:30 in the morning on Sunday when over 200 volunteers were all set and ready to go to the Bogd Khan Mountain for a day retreat, promoted as a Super Sunday for the volunteers.

Mr. Munkhtulga, a Head of ASEM11 volunteer station, with group of volunteer staff members started the day briefing the volunteers on safety instructions and proceeded with the Super Sunday agenda.

After 2 hours of team building, networking on the go, the volunteers were ready to kick off the Super Sunday after their early lunch in the woods on top of the mountain. 16 group of volunteers welcomed their peers with 2 minute greetings performances and unleashed their hidden talents. The creative minds of the volunteers almost led the greetings to a talent show. The performances were mostly about ASEM which were delivered in various forms including a dance, song and even a drama featuring contributions of the volunteers in the ASEM 11.

The volunteer staff members hosted several competitions not only for entertainment purposes, but also for promoting team work among the volunteers. The 16 groups of volunteers all participated in team building activities such as tag rugby, rock-paper-scissors and tug of war. Everyone managed to compete in at least one fun event or competition during the day. Winners of the team building activities were presented with movie tickets.

The Sunday was absolutely a Fun Day for the volunteers as the got to know their peers better and spent the day with joy and happiness. The day retreat, featured as Super Sunday, definitely helped the volunteers to refuel their energy before they volunteer for upcoming proceeding meetings and the ASEM Summit in July.
